Decimal to Fraction Calculator

Given the decimal number, the calculator computes its fraction equivalent. The more decimals you enter, the greater the accuracy of the calculator.

The calculator only works with terminating (rather than recurring) decimals. For example, fraction 1/3 is a decimal 0.3333333 recurring. Therefore, converting the fraction 1/3 to a decimal and then converting the resulting decimal back to the fraction will NOT result in 1/3, but the more decimals you enter, the more accurate the result will be. When you enter 0.33, the calculator returns 33/100; when you enter 0.33333, the calculator returns 33333/100000, which is closer to 1/3 than 33/100.
