OK, I have a confession to make: to create the animated illustrations that I put into my videos, I usually click the ‘Randomize‘ button in Easy Animator Pro few times until I see the animation I like. It’s quick, easy, and looks great.

Here’s the step-by-step breakdown:

  1. Click on ‘Search‘ to find the image illustrating what you’re talking about
  2. Select the image and click on ‘Break Apart‘ to split it into layers you can animate individually, and
  3. Click on ‘Randomize‘ few times till you find the animation you like, and export it into a SWF, GIF, MOV or MP4 file.

The software does all the work for you – but if you’re willing to put just a tiny amount of work into it, the results can be truly stunning. The video training below by Gord Istman explains several techniques on how to bring static vector images to life.

When I saw the Istman tutorial for the first time, it blew me away. The animations are way better, interesting and life-like than doing the doodle video.

Previously I though that achieving something like this would be costly and take forever. It turns out you do not need a professional studio to bring your static images to life, it’s a matter of few minutes with Easy Animator Pro.
